Lisa is the Clinical Director and the Owner of A Brighter Tomorrow Counseling. She has practiced in the mental health field for over 29 years. Lisa has worked in a variety of therapeutic settings. Her experience includes: program design and directing, vocational training, school counseling, as well as facilitating groups and training for children, parents and educators. Her areas of clinical expertise include: women's issues, abusive relationships, trauma recovery, anxiety disorders, self-injury, depression, co-parenting through divorce, and helping step and blended families. She enjoys working with couples to repair and build stronger marriages. Lisa also has extensive experience in counseling children, teens, and adolescents and their families.

Barbara specializes in helping adults with anxiety, depression, stubborn strongholds, trauma, chronic health issues that create mental health challenges, and relationships and marriages that are struggling. Helping others to integrate their faith in the therapeutic process is her passion. Barbara has a special interest in helping missionary and ministry families, and is a frequent speaker at women's retreats, conferences and church events. Barbara has practiced in the mental health field for over 35 years. She is founder of A Brighter Tomorrow and former Clinical Director.

Sarah has over 10 years experience working in the mental health field. She joined the Clinical Team at A Brighter Tomorrow in 2015. Sarah works primarily with children, adolescents, and young adults. Sarah is experienced in treating anxiety, depression, trauma recovery, ADHD, behavior issues, grief, suicide and self-harm. She is trained in EMDR, DBT, Motivational Interviewing, and incorporates
techniques from mindfulness, attachment theory, and CBT. Sarah believes in using a holistic approach in assessment and treatment, and gaining a spiritual understanding of the client. Sarah also sees the importance of working with the
families of children and adolescent clients in order to create change within the family system.

Daniel Donnelly began his career in mental health as a child and adolescent psychiatric specialist at Children National Medical Center in Washington, DC. After earning his Master's degree, he served as a child and family therapist at the National Family Resiliency Center in Columbia, MD. For many years he has been a pastoral counselor in private practice in Virginia.
Daniel works with couples, families, adolescents and children around issues related to anxiety, depression, grief, loss and addiction. Dan has many years experience helping with school issues including ADHD, learning disabilities and behavioral issues.
He specializes in helping couples in crisis, those dealing with blended family issues, and adjustments related to divorce. Additionally, he works with premarital preparation and enrichment.

Natalie has been providing counseling to children, adults, and families facing a variety of mental health challenges at A Brighter Tomorrow since 2013. Areas of expertise include: anxiety, depression, self-injury, trauma, divorce care, and complex family relationship issues. Her greatest passion is working with teenagers regarding identity, self esteem, and the continuously evolving issues that they face in our current world. In addition, Natalie works with women concerning postpartum depression and anxiety as well as the challenges that come with motherhood.
Natalie studied Social Work in Southeast Asia and Northern Ireland. While in Northern Ireland, Natalie was introduced to EMDR therapy, which is one of the services she offers to her clients.
Natalie believes that by finding your identity in Christ, a client can begin to love themselves and find themselves worthy of a healthy and fulfilling life. “Once you realize that God made you unique, it becomes easier to reach the point of self acceptance and begin to love the things about yourself that the world may see as flaws. 2 Corinthians 12:9 But he said to me, 'My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness. Patricia Andrews, LICSW (Ms. Pat); married for 38 years, mother of two and grandmother of 8 is an experienced therapist who began her career in the early 1990s working with adolescents in a Southern Baptist group home in Louisville Kentucky while her husband attended Seminary. When her husband was called to a pastorate in the Eastern Panhandle of WV in 1998 Ms. Pat continued to follow her calling to minister to vulnerable teens by serving as a social worker at the Martinsburg Children’s Shelter for several years until the opportunity presented itself to join the clinical team at the newly opened residential treatment facility in Falling Waters operated by the Board of Child Care of the United Methodist Church where she has served for nearly 18 years.
While serving as a therapist there she was introduced to A Brighter Tomorrow Counseling Center and joined this team of dedicated Christian Counselors on a part time basis, expanding her experience to work with children and adults as well as adolescents. Pat has completed a post graduate certification program in Trauma Treatment for Children and Adolescents at UMBC and recently became certified in Family Trauma Treatment as well. Pat has also pursued substantial training and experience with youth recovering from sexual trauma as well as young people with abuse reactive sexual offenses but has treated numerous individuals with ADHD, ASD, Addiction, Anxiety, Depression, Conduct Disorder, Parent/Child Relationship Problems, PTSD and Oppositional Defiant Disorder to name a few.
Though she is passionate about her work she finds time for other loves as well. She served as a middle school Sunday School Teacher for more than a decade and has consistently been a part of the church’s youth ministry through the years and currently serves a teen mentor. These days she also enjoys camping with her husband and playing with their giant dog (an English Mastiff named Barnabus). She takes advantage of every opportunity to step into the cherished role of Nana as well.
Pat graduated with honors with a B.A. degree from Berea College in Kentucky and her MSW from WVU. She has received honors for community service as well as academic and professional honors but states that her greatest honor will be that her Savior will say, “Well done, good and faithful servant.” when the race on this earth has been run and her journey is at its end.

Jonathan’s interest in mental health began as a teenager and young adult. He saw how people struggled with anxiety and self doubt. As he began to understand his own insecurities, He discovered how God’s unequaled and unchanging love brought light and joy into his life, he wanted to be a part of helping others experience God’s love. He received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Counseling in 2016. Since then, Jonathan has been providing behavioral health services for adolescent boys at Cedar Ridge Children’s Home, and enjoys engaging with youth and their families. After gaining experience in the social services field, Jonathan decided he was in the right field and returned to school, graduating from Salisbury University with a Master of Social Work degree in 2022.

Casey provides counseling to children, adolescents and adults facing a variety of difficulties such as anxiety, depression, difficult life changes, grief, and self-esteem. She began working with children and families in 2016 as an elementary school teacher. Through her teaching experience, she saw how various struggles impacted her students’ focus, mood, and overall well being. In these moments, Casey developed a passion to make a difference in the area of mental health, leading her to pursue and complete her MSW degree. She combines her background in education with her mental health knowledge, embracing a holistic approach in her work. Grounded in her faith and a commitment to serving others, Casey is guided by the words of Isaiah 40:31, believing that there is hope for everyone to find strength and healing.

Candice is a licensed clinical social worker with experience working in individual counseling, hospice, and crisis services. She earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology and master’s degree in social work from West Virginia University. Rebekah comes to a Brighter Tomorrow with 3 years of experience as a school and community based social worker. She has unique experience in working with the youngest population of children in a preschool setting. Rebekah received her Bachelors in Social Work from Shepherd University in 2018. Since receiving her Bachelors, Rebekah has worked with adolescents in a residential treatment facility, providing consultation and skill building activities for teens with mental and behavioral health challenges. Rebekah has also worked directly with children with autism, ADHD and other behavioral/mental health challenges at their school or in their home, providing the child and their parents with specific interventions and tools to address their unique challenges. Rebekah currently provides counseling to children, adolescents and adults who face a variety of challenges including anxiety, depression, grief, parental divorce, as well as self-esteem challenges. Rebekah enjoys working with children with ADHD and other behavioral issues. Her background allows her to equip children and their parents with skills and tools needed to grow and progress through challenging developmental seasons. Rebekah started her career with a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Development and Family Studies from West Virginia University. She then decided to pursue her Masters in Social Work with the ultimate goal of becoming a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. In the years that Rebekah has been in this field, she has worked in varied roles such as the following: in-home family support, mental health screenings in emergency rooms, crisis stabilization in acute hospital settings, and emergency shelters. Rebekah is currently working with clients of all ages to conquer a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, self-esteem issues, navigating abusive relationships, healing children of divorce/breakup, processing the effects of trauma and loss, crisis management, and overcoming addiction. Dr. Jonathan M. Hartiens, Ph.D is a Clinical Psychologist specializing in individual, couples and family therapy. He has over 20 years of experience and developed an expertise in the treatment of Depression, Anxiety, and Addictions. In addition to being a prominent therapist, he is frequently invited to speak at national conferences and to general audiences on addiction treatment. Besides helping those who suffer with chemical addictions, he is also a well known therapist for treating sexual addictions. He was on the medical staff at the VAMC Medical Center, Martinsburg, from 2001 to 2011 where he worked for 9 years at the Center for Addiction Treatment; three of those years as its Director. He's authored and been awarded several grants to expand the range of addiction treatment into rural areas.

As both an art therapist and counselor, Denise understands the courage it takes to create change for yourself by reaching out for mental health services. She primarily works with women who are: experiencing anxiety and/or depression; coping with grief, loss and trauma; navigating life transitions and changes; or struggling with relationship and spiritual matters. Denise can see children and adolescents as availability permits.
In 2001, Denise earned a Master of Arts in Expressive Therapies (Art Therapy) from The University of Louisville. For eleven years, she specialized in grief counseling with children, adolescents and families while working as an art therapist with hospice. Denise is not afraid to sit with others in the hard places of life and holds fierce hope for her clients when they find it impossible to do so for themselves. Helping others find hope in dark places and create joy in new spaces is one of her greatest passions. Restoring one’s relationship with self, others and God is another.
Denise earned her second Masters of Arts in Professional Counseling in 2015. Danielle Dahlstrom has over 10 years of clinical experience working in a variety of settings including residential care and community-based agencies. Additionally, Danielle served as a youth pastor in the inner city of Boston, Massachusetts and a missionary to at-risk women and children in Bucharest, Romania. Greg Finch has been a professional Social Worker since receiving his Master’s in Social Work from Adelphi University in 1983. He has a special passion for working with couples where he helps them focus on what they can accomplish and control through cognitive and behavioral changes interventions. He also provides coaching to improve communication and conflict resolution skills and facilitates healing and reconciliation in relationships when needed. Mr. Finch has worked with patients and families in a variety of health care settings including Intensive Care Units, Emergency departments, renal dialysis, cancer care and mental health crisis units. Through this extensive experience he has become skilled in helping people walk through grief, illness, and other times of great stress. In May of 2018 Mr. Finch was commissioned as a Fellow by the Colson Center for Christian World View. As a Colson Fellow he brings this extensive knowledge to his practice and applies these truths as appropriate with those he works with. He has taught Social Work at the Graduate level for the University of Buffalo and has mentored countless Social Work students from several universities through internships and was recognized as Field Instructor of the Year by the University of Buffalo.
Greg grew up in upstate New York. He met his wife at The King’s College, and they have been married since 1979. They have two children, four grandchildren and Boaz
their Labradoodle. Greg is an avid cyclist and especially enjoys mountain biking. Greg and his wife recently started Two Birds Christmas Tree farm in Shepherdstown, WV. The Finch's attend Covenant Church in Shepherdstown where they facilitate the Church’s Car Care Ministry and Greg teaches classes on Worldview.

Timothy Teague, Ph.D. has been practicing since 1983, and has strengthened thousands of individuals, marriages and families. Dr. Teague served two churches as the Minister of Counseling and Family Life for over 30 years where he brought his extensive Biblical training into practice through counseling, seminars, teaching and preaching. He frequently also has the privilege of counseling other ministers and therapists along with having taught graduate classes in counseling.
His expertise includes marriage preparation, marital therapy, parenting, anxiety, depression, grief recovery, stress management and achieving a better life balance. He enjoys working with ages 5 and older. Common issues for couples include communication, conflict management, parenting, finances, sexual intimacy or the lack thereof, pornography and emotional/physical affairs. For individuals and couples, part of the foundational work is to identify and develop realistic expectations, learn to identify and meet needs, and grow the positive/loving interactions. Work often includes overcoming cognitive distortions and through healthier thinking and more balanced living to find more internal and relational peace.
Dr. Teague and his wife, Beverly, have been married 47 years. They enjoy their horse farm with its beautiful sunrises and sunsets and trail riding together as well as hiking. Clients from Winchester and Harpers Ferry often prefer to see Dr. Teague at his home office in his tack room at his horse farm in Waterford, Virginia. Their son, Timothy, died of an accidental overdose on his 29th birthday. Their daughter, Rebekah, and her family live nearby so that they get to enjoy their three granddaughters weekly.

Hannah Stewart, LGSW has been in the field of social work helping children and families across the life cycle for more than 13 years. Marlena Pique, LICSW is only available for telehealth services and specializes in children, teens, couples, and families. She is particularly skilled at helping families break through problems in communication and relationships. She helps her clients identify emotional barriers to effective communication and provides down-to-earth practical tools that can be implemented quickly. Her solutions-focused approach enables her clients to experience rapid change.
Mrs. Pique's expertise is in working with children and teens and the problems and conditions that cause the greatest disruption towards healthy adult development. These conditions include ADHD, Oppositional/Defiant Disorder, cutting behaviors, social isolation, and adolescent depression and anxiety. She has also worked extensively with blended family difficulties, adoptions, couples, and women’s issues. Mrs. Pique recognizes that effective resolution of childhood or teenage challenges typically require involvement and support of the parents and she is quick to provide education or skills building to help parents be part of the solution.
Mrs. Pique is a native of Columbia, Maryland and graduated from the University of Maryland. She is fluent in Spanish. Mrs. Pique acquired her Masters of Social Work in 1994 and worked for Bethany Christian Services of Maryland as a family counselor. From 1997 to 2002, she worked for Catholic Charities of Atlanta as a child and family therapist. More recently, Mrs. Pique worked at Brooklane Behavioral Health in Hagerstown, MD.
Marlena grew up in Presbyterian (USA) church. She was a member of Chapelgate Presbyterian Church (PCA) for several years in college and then attended Living Waters Fellowship (charismatic) prior to joining the Catholic Church in 1997. She is a member of Saint Joseph Catholic Church in Martinsburg and considers herself an ecumenical evangelical Catholic Christian. She enjoys serving the Latino community with counseling services. Marlena resides in Mississippi with her husband Bruce and their four children.

Jessica Padinha has been in a management position since 2008, with a specialty in Medical Management since 2016. She has experience in hospital facilities and internal medicine family practice settings. Jessica graduated from Valley College in 2018 with Presidential Honors for Medical Administration.
Jessica resides with her husband and children in their hometown in West Virginia. She enjoys being outdoors, especially camping, hiking, and fishing with her family.
Jessica and her family attend Hope Community Church where she serves on staff in the Kids Ministry Department.
